Dr. Gretchen Adkins

Dr. Adkins received both her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Adkins completed her residency at Ohio State University and joined Physicians for Women of Greensboro in 2006. She has really fallen in love with North Carolina and the Greensboro area. Some of Dr. Adkins hobbies include traveling, playing tennis and spending time with family.

Dr. Jane Chen

A North Carolina native, Dr. Chen received her undergraduate degree from Duke University, attended medical school at the University of Maryland and competed her residency at Atrium Health in Charlotte. Dr. Chen provides all aspects of obstetric and gynecologic care with a focused interest in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Robotically trained, Dr. Chen can provide benign GYN surgery using the Da Vinci Robotic System. Physicians for Women of Greensboro welcomed Dr. Chen in 2023 bringing her close to family. When not working, Dr. Chen enjoys traveling to beautiful outdoor places, running, cooking and spending time with her loved ones.

Karen Dzingle, FNP

Karen has a passion for providing women with personalized thorough healthcare. She was born and raised in upstate New York, where she received her BSN in nursing at Elmira College. She went on to work as an RN at Albany Medical Center where she spent nine years working in postpartum, GYN medical surgical and neonatal intensive care units. Her passion for women’s healthcare led her to acquiring an advanced degree from The Sages Colleges of Albany as a Family Nurse Practitioner. While she enjoyed family practice for several years as a FNP, she knew her desire was in women’s healthcare. She has loved providing care to her OB/GYN patient’s in New York, but is excited to relocate and escape the long winters. Karen is married to her high school sweetheart, Evan, has two daughters, and an energetic dog. In her spare time Karen enjoys running marathons, hiking, spending time with her family, and exploring her new home city of Greensboro.

Dr. Austin Glasser

Born and raised in Ohio, Dr. Glasser attended University of Toledo for medical school and Riverside Methodist Hospital for residency. His wife attended college in NC and they always knew they wanted to return to NC. In 2021, Dr. Glasser joined Physicians for Women. Dr. Glasser is a robotically trained surgeon able to provide benign GYN surgery using the Da Vinci Robotic System. He strives to provide the highest quality care in a very personalized manner. He enjoys spending time with his wife, two young children and time outside tending to his chickens & garden.

Dr. Michelle Grewal

Dr. Grewal is a North Carolina native who attended Duke University for her undergraduate degree and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her medical degree. She completed her residency at UCLA and came back to North Carolina to have her practice close to her home community. Dr. Grewal specializes in hormonal imbalance, menopause, and Mona Lisa Touch. She enjoys teaching and is an adjunct professor at the UNC School of Medicine.

Dr. Richard Holland

Dr. Holland received his M.D. from the University Of Kentucky College of Medicine, followed by a residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Hospital. He started private practice in Greensboro in 1987. His two adult children, Adrienne and Jack both reside in Greensboro, plus 2 his two cherished grandsons, Ben and Teddy. Outside of Medicine, Dr. Holland and his wife, Beth, enjoy travel and hiking and exploring the Blowing Rock, NC area.

Dr. Elise Leger

Dr. Leger attended medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed her residency at Northwestern University in Chicago. Raised in North Carolina, she is excited to be with Physicians for Women of Greensboro. Dr. Leger takes pride in getting to know her patients on a personal level and providing them with the highest quality, personalized OBGYN care. When she is not working, Dr. Leger enjoys spending time with her family, reading, singing, and exploring new places.

Dr. David Lowe

Dr. Lowe was raised in Springfield, Missouri. He attended college at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois and returned to Missouri for medical school, receiving his degree from the University of Missouri Medical School in Columbia. Dr. Lowe provides all obstetrical and gynecological care but has a special interest in high risk pregnancies and gynecological surgery. In his free time, Dr. Lowe enjoys basketball, golf, tennis, reading and spending time with his family.

Dr. John McComb

Dr. McComb, originally from Chillicothe, Ohio; attended college at the University of Tennessee. He went on to attend medical school at Bowman Grey School of Medicine in Winston-Salem. Dr. McComb joined Physicians for Women in 1989. Over his career, he has developed a particular interest in urinary issues affecting women and provides overall women’s healthcare. In his free time, Dr. McComb enjoys golfing and spending time with his grandchild.

Dr. Megan Morris

Dr. Morris was born and raised near Blacksburg, Virginia and attended University of Virginia for her undergraduate degree and then Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine for her medical degree. Dr. Morris provides the full range of obstetrical services including high risk obstetrics as well as all gynecological services including surgical procedures and in-office care. Megan and her husband have a daughter. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling and all things Italian.

Dr. James Tomblin

Dr. Tomblin attended medical school at Marshall University and went on to complete his residency at The Ohio State University. Dr. Tomblin has been practicing in Greensboro at Physician for Women since 1990. In addition to providing overall obstetrical and gynecological care, he is an accomplished laparoscopic surgeon. When not working, Dr. Tomblin enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family in the NC mountains.
